Does ITVX Work on iPhone 6s?
ITVX currently requires iOS 15 or later. Your iPhone 6s supports up to iOS 15.
If you're on iOS 15 or above, ITVX installs and streams without issue. If your device is stuck below iOS 15, the current ITVX app won't install — but the web player is a solid workaround.
📺 ITVX minimum requirement: iOS 15. Check Settings → General → About to confirm your iOS version. If you're on iOS 15+, ITVX works fully on iPhone 6s.
Watch ITVX via Safari on Older iOS
ITVX's website streams directly in Safari — no app needed:
- Open Safari on your iPhone 6s.
- Go to itvx.com.
- Sign in (free account required for most content).
- Browse and watch — the web player works on iOS 15.
To make it feel like an app, tap the Share button → Add to Home Screen. You'll get an ITVX icon on your home screen that opens full-screen Safari directly to ITVX.
Install the Last Compatible Version
If you previously had the ITV Hub or ITVX app on this Apple ID on a newer device, try the Purchased Apps route:
- Open the App Store on your iPhone 6s.
- Tap your profile picture → Purchased.
- Find ITVX (previously ITV Hub) and tap the cloud icon.
- If prompted to download the last compatible version, tap Download.
Older ITV/ITVX versions may still connect to the streams, though some newer content and features may be unavailable.

- ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 — live and catch-up
- ITVX Exclusives — dramas and originals only on the streaming service
- ITVX Premium (paid subscription) — ad-free streaming and BritBox content

The free tier (ad-supported) covers the vast majority of content including all ITV catch-up. No subscription needed for standard use.
