About This Reference

This table includes all iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models ever released, along with their technical specifications and support status.

Support Status Definitions:
Currently Supported — Device runs iOS 26 or can receive iOS 27+ updates.
Limited Support — Device maxes out at iOS 24–25; likely 1–2 more major updates possible historically.
Legacy — Device maxes out at iOS 23 or earlier; no new OS updates expected.

Retirement Estimates are based on when devices will reach 3+ major iOS versions behind current. They assume Apple's typical 1-year major release cycle. Devices marked as "Legacy" are estimated to have already exceeded that threshold and should be considered end-of-life.

Screen sizes are diagonal measurements in inches. iPad and iPhone size categories have remained relatively consistent over generations.
